Graduated from Sun Yat-Sen University in Guangzhou, Prof. Jiang took a teaching position in Tianjin University, teaching and conducting research in areas related to patent laws and practice even before China enacted the patent statute. He has published over 20 books related to patent practice. His book "Patent Practice for Engineers" received a special award from Chinese Society for Library Science. Prof. Jiang helped establish one of the earliest patent firms in China (the predecessor of Bei & Ocean). In addition to practicing patent law, Prof. Jiang has organized numerous training classes for educating younger generations of patent professionals. As a patent practitioner, Prof. Jiang has accumulated extensive experience in all facets of patent practice, particularly in contentious cases before the appeal board of the patent office and in the court.
